  1. The mom would be the responsible party - present or not. And with 50 people, you would be almost guaranteed to get a "party call" or disturbing the peace ... not going to be pretty when the cops show up!

Further, the mom will be liable for anyone getting injured on the property AND for anyone drinking and driving. That's a pretty crappy thing to do to a parent who isn't even there ... imagine if she comes home to find out that someone got drunk, tripped over a garden hose and broke a leg ... to the tune of a $10,000+ hospital bill! Or heaven forbid someone drink, drive and injure someone ... it all comes back to the property owner/ lessee.

Best advice: tell everyone that the house is under surveillance and alcohol is not allowed. (Or make up a more colorful story ... international intrigue and all of that.) Wait until you're old enough to buy/rent your own house and THEN decide who you want to have over!

  2. It will fall back onto the owner of the house, the kids drinking may be spoken to, but if the mum stays in the house than she can be made / held responsible for not being there to ensure the safety of all you guys.

Hope the party is great, and I hope no one stuffs it up.

  3. The mom will get in trouble for providing alcohol to minors regardless of if she bought it or not...her home...and she allowed it in there, with minors

If the mom leaves, she will still get in trouble....

  4. The owner of the property.

  5. All at the party could have a problem, if there was a "raid."  If a person had a car accident, the the homeowner, the person that had the party, and all that bought booze could be charged.

  6. All of the above!

Mom for providing a place where underage drinking occurs.  The party planner (and all other guests, drunk or sober) for minors in possession.  The drunk party guests, for minor in possession, underage consumption, drunk in public (and I know how drunks are) probably obstruction of an officer in the performance of their duties, resisting arrest and assaulting an officer.

Mom (or someone) should "guard the gate" ... Minors who are carrying in plain site should be denied entry to the party.  If the host sees anyone drunk at the party ... that guest should be removed.

Have a great time at the party, keep it dry!  Remember that the neighbors might not like the same music as you do, keep the volume reasonable.

By keeping the noise reasonable and the drunks out, you should have a great party with no problems with the law.

  7. Mom can definately get into trouble, and so can anyone who is underage who consumes or possesses alcohol.

  8. Anyone caught drinking will get in trouble. Anyone caught bringing the drinks will get in trouble.  Any adult over the age of 21 will get in trouble for contributing to a minor - whether they bought the drinks or not.

  9. the mom, would be charged with contributing to the delequcency of a minor the minor will be in trouble for underaged drinking, the mom would be responsible for letting it go on whether it be intially on unintially
