I used nair the for the first time about a month ago on my armpits and it worked fine no burning or anything but a couple weeks later I used it because I was going to my summer camp (my hair wasn't long but it was noticeable) and it burned like h**l! It burned some of my skin off and when I would wash my armpits the water would burn my underarms if I moved my arms or put deodorant on my armpits would hurt. Yesterday I used Nair my hair was long and my armpits stop hurting but when I had applied it on it still burned! So my question is how long will it take for my armpits to heal and stop burning??

  1. There much be a chemical in your deodorant that irritates the skin after using Nair.

It would only take about two days to heal ( for me )

I think it depends on your skin type.

  2. Once I decided to try Nair on my underarms and it turned out to be a really bad idea. I ended up with a rash and was sore for about 2-3 days. Instead of deodorant, you might want to use a fine talc powder (not Gold Bond) until the burning goes away. Also, in the shower just use a mild soap. Dial would be best. Don't use a rag or shower poof. Just gently soap up your hands and wash your underarms. That's what worked best for me. You'll be sore but as long as you don't do anything to irritate yourself further, you'll be okay in a day or so...

  3. idk but thats what happened to me it burnt and was sore for a week when i used nair

  4. wooooow nair has serious SERIOUS problems, cause it happened to my older sister.

it burned like h**l she said exactly.

but it went away in the next 3 days.

put some aloe vera cream on it or some ice?

woow my sister even used the "extra sensitve skin" kind.

    my *** lol.

well i hope you'll use a different brand that works well!
