Underarm shaving tips?

Question

okay i know this is a weird question but i was wondering...

everytime i shave my underarms it isnt smooth, like the hair is shaved but the little black heads and stuff are still there and its like prickly to the touch. its weird.

so yea i've tried like everything and have run out of ideas

any help or comments would be greatly appreciated. :)

Hairs under you arm grows in every direction, so shave up, down, cross ways and diagonal...I sound like I am kidding but seriously.  Also, don't let your blade get too old that is a mistake lots of people make.  Don't press down too hard with your razor as well.  As far as shaving cream goes, the best that works for me is Gillette Satin Care for Sensitive Skin, it is in a blue bottle with a green lid and be sure to rub it in your skin.  Also I like the BIC Soleil  razor, that is the best I've found...some people sing Venus' praises, but that tears my skin up big time.  Anyway, hope that helps you out some...ps:  I wouldn't suggest waxing...try nair before you do that.

reach one arm up, and back. (like reaching as far as you can down your back)

so that your armpit isnt curved in, but rather the other way out.

it makes it easier to shave, and gets it all done.

why don't you try waxing?... it hurts the first time around but you can used to it after awhile!

Maybe try a depilatory. Nair Pretty works good. I don't like shaving my armpits, so I use that. :)

You could wax. It's a little pricey, but it'll take out all the underarm hairs that you don't like. You could pluck them as an alternative, but that's really time consuming.

I use it for my legs and my armpits, and it leaves them smooth and hairless. I usually don't experience as much prickliness and the dots that most people experience with their razors. You could try switching to that. I absolutely love it! Plus, it comes with the moisturizer on the razor so you don't have to buy shaving cream. It smells good too :)
