Underbite surgery? Braces afterwards?

I have pretty straight teeth, but I just got braces on because I will get getting underbite surgery. If I get the surgery a year after I get the braces on, how long will I have to have the braces on afterwards?

im guessing about another year but its not that bad some people have them on for 5, 6, or even 7 years

I don't know, your orthodontist will probably give you an estimate if you ask him. Probably less than a year, I think.

I had braces for four years, but my teeth were really bad lol.
