Undergraduate major for medical school?

I'm applying for college this fall and the biggest question for me is whether I should pursue an engineering or science college. What appeals more to a medical school, a major in chemical engineering or a biology related major? Also, would a major in chemical engineering make it difficult to complete premed requirements?
