  1. The only underground stations are in the City Loop or Murla. The stations are Parliament, Flagstaff & Melbourne Central. Melbourne Central is named after the shopping centre above it but it was previously named Museum Station after the Museum of Victoria which use to be across the road in Swanston St. Its logo at the time was the Dome Reading Room of the State Library of Victoria. Places named by Members of Parliament who never visited the area.

  2. The underground stations are only in the city loop in melbourne.Melbourne is lots of fun.

  3. It's just the stations in the City Loop.

  4. I wasn't going to answer this as I'm not from Melbourne, but the others have neglected to tell you that the loop is seamlessly connected to all of the other lines. So, you can catch a train on say, the Frankston line and that will take you to any of the stations on the loop. If you need to then travel on another line, get off at one of the main loop stations and change to a train travelling to destinations on the other line.

Melbourne has the BEST transport system in Australia by far.

  5. In the City Loop, there is

    Paliament Station

Museum Station now called something else as the museum has moved.

    And Exhibition Station.

The station name explains where excactly they come out near.

Other than that all the other stations are on 'other' lines. Not the City Loop. Such as Frankston line. Dandenong line.
