Underrated States...............?

Question

Do you think Michigan is underrated? Many say Chicago is underrated as well, simply because its in the midwest.

um no michigan and chicago are not even close to underated

No, none of these states are underrated.  In fact, I think they are overrated, mainly because tourism companies tout them as places of preserved natural beauty (which most are), but neglect to inform you of the lack of any form of recognizable cultural centers.  The most culture you get outside of the capitals in these states are a couple of roadside biker bars, and the most socialism relies either within said biker bars or, if you're lucky, talking to someone from out-of-state on a road trip whilst taking a break to p**s on a log in a National Park.

um no and isn't chicago a city?

i would want to go there personally..for sure it will be different then southern california (were i am right now) but that's the reason why..to visit the cool random towns and things to do over there

The way I see it, North Dakota is pretty underrated. I live there and it ticks me off to know that it's virtually never in the news and all that. I mean, if it weren't for us, mostly all the U.S. wouldn't have a lot of its agriculture. They also say it's "very flat" and that there's "nothing to see". Well, that's their opinion! I for one love it here and actually love looking at the fields of crops while I'm on road trips with family.

Not if you don't mind frigid, miserable winters and humid, horrible summers with mosquitoes the size of my head flying around.

Also, Michigan's economy is really in the toilet, no?

Ohio's pretty cool. It has great colleges and Cedar Point which holds the most rollercoasters in the world.

Maryland is also a great state. In the summer it doesn't get extremely hot, the winter isn't like Michigan's and Ocean City's a great summer getaway. It can get crowded though like any other beach...

Also, Maryland is number 2 for richest state in the Union. The jobs have a high pay rate there than the national average.

Michigan is underrated. if you travel along the coast its amazing. even though the place is currently down by the economy. its a great place to travel and look.

Honestly, i don't think most of the people here can point to michigan on a map. i have never been there so i have no clue.
