Ok so i went in to my local optition to get my glasses prescription. The man who wrote it out for me was a trainee and said it was his first time doing it so i'm a little uneasy that he got it wrong..

both eyes are the same-

Sph Dist= -3.25 (even though my contacts are -3.50?)

Cyl Dist= DS

And the Axis & Prism boxes are left empty

Is that right that they are left empty???

Thanks

  1. Yes, you only have a Spherical power, so there is no other numbers.

It is strange though that your contacts are .25 stronger...your Rx is one of those times where both your glasses and contacts should be the same normally.

There is no Cylinder power, therefore no axis...that part is all fine.

Where it says...CYL Dist = DS....that confirms that nothing else was forgotten.
