  1. I have two underwater digital cameras,

    the first is Olympus 770 SW which is a shock proof, crush proof and waterproof (10mtrs) 7.1 mega-pixel camera. It's a good all-rounder and I generally only use this for when I'm out ON the water; surfing, canoeing etc.

    the second is a Canon IXUS 75 and under water housing. This camera and casing is water proof to 30or40mtrs and I use this for my decent underwater photos while Scuba diving.

    Both can be purchased fairly cheaply on Amazon.com

    If only going on/in the water get the Olympus, but if you need a decent underwater camera at a cheap price you can't beat the Canon!

    Have a lovely time on your honeymoon.

  2. If you have a digital camera, I would look into getting a housing for it so the camera is dual-purpose.

    I have some "ancient" stuff and I loved my Pentax and Vivitar equipment.

    Here's a link which shows some prices and various brands of housings as well as digital underwater cameras.

    Consider the type of pictures you'll be taking and how deep you'll be going to make a wise choice. None of them are inexpensive but they can be versatile if you make the best choice for you.

    There are disposable underwater cameras if there is just too much to do with the wedding coming and you're too overwhelmed by all of this info.

  3. I would suggest you buy a underwater case for your current camera instead, if you have one - otherwise buy both. That way, you only have to learn one system, and can focus on a good camera.

    My suggestions:

    * For a Canon SD1000 use a Canon WP-DC13 Case.

    * For a Canon SD1100 use a Canon WP-DC22 Case.

    Prices for those underwater cases are about $160 (at newegg.com at least)

    I have an SD1000 (now discontinued) myself and I am satisfied with it. If you should select a later model - the SD1100 costs about $180 (at B&H video).
