Underwater Hockey???

Question

hey my gf has been playing underwater hockey at her highschool for about two years. its not a school sport so techniqly i'd be able to join. she wasnt me to start playing but i just don't think is smthing i'd enjoy since i don't really like water polo, or any other water sports. i know its a legit competition and they havve world championships, and i support her competeing, but when i told her it wasn't A "real" sport she got kinda mad. any ideas of how i should handle it the next time she asks. and what do you think of it? have you even heard of it?

I play in a league. It IS a sport.

If you're out of shape, you'll suck. One of the best guys on our team is a free diver. The guy gets breakaways all the time and has no problem going from our net to the opposing net, deeking and weaving, on a single breath.

i used to play in the uk its called octopush have a look for it.

It is a proper sport you should give it a go you may love it or even be a natural at it ...
