Question:

Underwater lizard identifying?

hi, i have seen these aquatic lizards in a few fish shops but i cant remember their name, the 2 i have seen are either a pink (albino) or black. they look alot like lizards although they have a fan like thing covering were a geckos "ears" are. if you could tell me their name id be very thankful!

  4. yep! axolotls! they're a salamander stuck in a larval stage, a slight freak of nature as they can also breed in this larval stage, on the very rare occasion that axolotl's have moved on to their terrestrial stage they're fairly unremarkable looking salamanders.

  6. Axolotl's are great to watch. A science classroom I once got taught in used to have one as a pet, it was fascinating to observe :)
