Undiagnose a physical disability?

Is it possible to undiagnose a physical disability. I have vary mild cerebral palsy, so mild they didn't diagnose me until I was six years old. I am now 19 years old now and I feel as if I was misdiagnosed. I do not feel I have a disability.

The reason why this means so much to me is because I want to join US Coast Guard. This has been my lifelong dream, and I am not certain that they would let me in with this disability on my medical records.

If you can please answer my question that would be much appreciated.

  1. You need to go to a doctor, preferably a neurologist or pediatric neurologist with experience in developmental issues to resolve this for you.  At the very least, they may be able to provide you with a letter saying that you have no disability which should stop you from joining the Coast Guard.  Good luck.
