  2. Yes, that's taxable income and you are legallly required to claim it, whether the person you are babysitting for takes a child care credit for the amount or not

  3. ask the person paying you if they are claiming this in anyway towards their taxes, if they are then the IRS will catch you if you don't.  If thats all you are making though it's such a low income that it won't be taxed much and you'd probably get most of it back on your refund.

  4. Yes you do have to pay taxes on the money.

  5. This is self employed income. If your self employed income exceeds $400, you must file tax return.

  6. Officially, yes.  But, as stated above, if they do not claim it, you don't have to.  It also depends how much you make.  If you make more than $600, you should claim it.
