Question:

Unemployment Appeal in Pennsylvania?

I worked at an employer Feb07-Apr07. It was for a union though I wasn't in the union, I was just there to help with my brother in law. Everybody got laid off for about one week so I filed for UC just in case. One week went by and the boss said that I had to go to a different job site. Previously I had been carpooling with my brother in law- there was no way I could get to the site because I didn't have a car. According to a pamphlet I recieved from the state, not having transportation to a job is a valid reason to collect unemployment.

Now my employer is saying I wrongfully gained the almost $3000 and I have to pay it back. It should be noted that this employer also never paid my workers compensation bill when I was injured on the job and had to go to the emergency room. That places me at somewhere near $4500 in debt because he wouldn't pay the bills.

Now he's avoiding many people and involved in lawsuits. I have the appeal tomorrow- do I have a hope of winning this case?

  1. Sounds like you do.  If the law states transportation is a viable reason, then he doesn't have a leg to stand on.  What's his defense. LMAO

  2. Hi,

I used "Credit Solution" to settle my debt and avoid bankruptcy. They managed to reduce my debt up to 58%.It's legitimate.I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:
