Unemployment benefits???

Question

I was laid off 06/30/2007 and collected for 6 months. I still have not found a job and I also started going to school full time. Can I collect unemployment for additional 13 weeks??

Likely not, as you're going to school full time.

Each state is different.  I would check with your state.  There is usually a maximum amount of weeks that you can collect though and schooling would typically have no effect on it.  My first instinct would be to tell you that you have collected everything that you are intitled to.

No - if you're going to school then you're not available to work!!  That's a "must" to collect benefits
