  1. My understanding is that jobs are hard to come by these days.  Has something suddenly changed?

A decent income, I believe, begins for a single person at about 2000€/month.  I think.

Of course, you have to have a work visa...that's the difficult part.  And in order to get a work visa, you sort of have to have a marketable skill that is in dire lack of supply there.  And there's precious little of that.  One of my contacts says you need to be a very talented brain surgeon.  Anything less in demand is not going to get the visa.

  2. hello

unemployment has increased in last year, spanish economy is going down nowadays.

it is not good to come to Spain now to look for a job.

you should earn around 1500-2000€ to live comfortable in a big city.

    bye

  3. Now we are in a historical maximum of unemployment. There are not good times for looking for a job. The goverment tells this is a moment of readjustment, and it expects the employment rising begins at 2009.

The economy in Spain are suffering a slowdown after the mortgage crisis, but we are in a positive stage and the situation will improve in one or two years.

  4. if you are from the EU then work is easier to come by in Spain, if you are from the US then basically forget it unless your skill is in such demand and you find a job before you get there.  Paperwork for US citizens is horrendous.

  5. yes there are loadz of jobs..

and the rate per hour would be about 10 euro..

    hope i helped
