Hey does anyone know anything about a law in Wisconsin that states that women cannot cut their hair!?

This sounds so absurd! Apparently it's a law that is not enforced.

  1. there's a ton of old laws like this on all the state books. i've actually heard of one where it's illegal for men to be seen without hats, i've also heard of one where it's illegal for ducks to wear pants!

  2. No, that is not true.

  3. Yeah, there is a law. No it is not enforced. Or it wouldn't be on this website. http://www.jibjab.com/view/140036 Plus my cousin lives in Wisconsin, and she cuts her hair.

  4. Yeah, most states have old laws like that.  In Michigan it's illegal to leash an alligator to a fire hydrant - I'd love to know the story that lead to that law, haha.  In Florida it is illegal for people to dress as the opposite gender (women were not allowed to wear pants) and in Cleveland, if you kill a rat and take it to the constable - he has to pay you a nickel!  I love old laws!  Oh and somewhere if a woman drives at night, her husband is required to walk 50 yards in front of the car with a lantern!  Hahaha.
