Uneven face after attack?

i got attacked roughly a month ago and suffered a black eye and severe swelling on one side of my face. The bruising has gone but my zygomatic bone protrudes more no that side. There is no pain. Will it ever settle or is there a chance it will stay swollen?

I got kicked in the shin over a year ago during soccer practice and I still have a knot on my leg.  Some injuries and swelling just take longer to heal.  I suggest you let your doctor know about your concerns.

My son did something like that on his trampoline.. (honest.. it wasn't me!).. he was doing a double summy in the tuck position and forgot to part his knees... and when he hit the mat.. one knee went crashing into his face. He was in a whole lot of trouble there and looked shocking by the time we got him to the hospital....

Anyway.. that was like 4 years ago. He's a very handsome young man now.

I think you will be ok. It will settle down. Keep putting some huradoid cream on the bruising.. those bruises are deep... even if you cannot see them.

Did you get it x-rayed? It could have been damaged, if that's the case and because you've left it so long it may require reconstructive surgery to make it look the way it did before.

Yes it will settle. Try a cold compress throughtout the day on your face.
