Unex Michelangelo to reverse Kempton form in Racehorse Sanctuary Flagship Moorcroft Boy Handicap at Sandown
Unex Michelangelo is still fresh, and can easily reverse his Kempton form in the Racehorse Sanctuary Flagship Moorcroft Boy Handicap, being held at Sandown on Wednesday, September 19, 2012.
The 3-year-old has not shown anything special so far this season. He made his seasonal debut in April, when he completed the order of finish at Epsom.
Trained by John Gosden, the bay colt showed some improvement on his penultimate start. The audience at Doncaster saw him finishing eighth in the Unison "Speaking Up For Public Services" Handicap at the start of last month.
The son of Dansili was even better last time out. Although he failed to make an impression on the leading runners, a good beginning helped him secure the seventh place in the Byrne Group "London Mile" Handicap (Qualifier).
Sandown’s ground is a lot harder than Kempton, thus his connections can hope for a better outcome. Owned by W. J. Gredley, the colt is certainly more than capable of turning things around and therefore, the bettors should not rule out his chances.
Unex Michelangelo is facing a very strong opposition. He will have to come up with an improved act in order to get the better of his half a dozen opponents. The 1m14y event is scheduled to begin at 16:35 GMT. The ultimate champion will leave the field with
a handy cash prize of £9,836.
Royal Empire was quite disappointing on his latest trip. Saeed Bin Suroor’s charge needs to resume earlier progression. The 3-year-old made three wonderful outings at the outset of his career, but failed to make an impact at Kempton earlier this month.
Kahruman could prove a threat if the headgear works. His latest performance was quite terrible though. Switzerland is 4lb above last win mark. So, he certainly needs to raise his game in order to win a race of this nature. Similarly, Benzanno is 7lb above
his last win mark, and seems to have no chance whatsoever.
Both Royal Empire and Razorbill need to bounce back. Kahruman, who is running with blinkers for the first-time, is another to keep an eye on. But Unex Michelangelo still looks to be the strongest one. Good luck to all the horses.
