Unfair judging at the Beijing Olympics..?

Question

There are alot of reports about the Chinese judges being biast and giving better then deserved scores to the chinese athletes.. what do you think about this?

Also, how can we prove He (the gymnastics girl on the China team) is under 16??? We all know she is but of course the Chinese govt isnt going to release that information.. so what can be done? Why do they feel the need to cheat and lose face just for a medal????

ok.just because China is getting better and better at sports...you don't need to start thinking that this is unfair judging...probabky cuz your jealous, you noe that the gymnasts and all the chinese athletes work EXTREMELY hard and so does all the other athletes and china does not feel the need to cheat! you just go and clean up your retarded mind!

How in the world did u find Chinese judges in the final when there were Chinese Athletes competing?

are you listening to all that c**p???? Why don't you complain when US gets a medal. The News repots want ratings RATINGS!!!! They'll tell you what they want you to hear, they'll bend the truth. The Chinese teams work hard just like the US teams. Stop being so sensitive about these things. Research better before you start saying these things.

How is it unfair? The judges are foreigners who proved to be impartial. The americans did so well in gymnastics, swimming, and other sports and won many gold medals.

If you look at the diving carefully, you will see the chinese were definitely better than Americans.

As for the age issue, so what if the girl is 12? Does being a 12 year old make her skills better than the 16 year old? On the contrary, a 12 year old would have less experience than a 16 year old and yet, she was able to win the gold. I would give her 2 medals just for that if it was up to me.

Do you know how hard the chinese trained just to get where they wanted?

If she was tested positive for using drugs, then I would be agreeing with you hands down but this isn't the issue.  

Your judgment is clouded. I think you are the one being unfair.

In most of matches, the athletes and the referees can not be from the same country. And in diving or gymnastics this situation can not be avoided. But the highest and the lowest score will be canceled in this kind of matches.

if it was unfair, Michael Phelps would not have won 8 gold medals . and plus, China was always good at gymnastics . And you can kind of tell that the girls are really young . Almost everyone competing in gymnastics is very young no matter what country she is representing .

anyways, i don`t think it matters how old an athlete is anyways .

Here's the problem and the reason why everyone is more prone to mistrusting the Chinese government on every level INCLUDING Olympics.  They have proven time and again that they will do whatever it takes to sweep the perceived "bad" or "less than" under the carpet and out of site ... and twist, malign, or artificially create a perceived "good" or "most successful".  It's the over-doing on the defensiveness as here on the message boards.  

It is not the winning or losing that makes people mistrust, it's the fact that the Chinese government as a whole has never had a stellar track record of humility or integrity ... with them it always seems to be their pride accelerated at any cost.  I think people sense that, and I think anyone with any moral compass finds it distasteful.  To quote a good book ... selfish ambition is at the heart of every evil thing.  Yes, everyone is guilty of wanting to look good, some pride, and some selfish ambition, but the Chinese esatblishment seems to want this "at any cost" more than most establishments.  Also, the reason it is unfair that a younger girl compete is that their muscles are more flexible and they have a limbic and stature advantage.  Also, it is equally disgusting to have used younger girls because the age limit is there for a REASON.  It has to do with the rate of developement.  If girls are competing and training at that level and have not reached a certain musculo-skeletal development level it damages their body for life. Just ... FYI.

oh, you're SO clever are you? you don't know that the panel of judges are made up of an international panel? and you don't know that china did really well in these games? OH YES, the judges were SO biased and gave china better marks, OH YES YES YES.

i'm korean-chinese, so there is a chinese phrase, translated will mean, 'picking bones out of an egg'. this is exactly what you people are doing. WHAT will china have to do to make you lot happy?? EVERYTHING they do is wrong.

regretfully, i don't know much about chinese culture. but i DO know that the chinese won't resort to such underhand means to just win. more like the others are resorting to underhand means to discredit china. WHAT rubbish is this?

i think thats c**p. china gets medals because they train hard. i dont see people complaining when their country gets medals... just because its hosted in china doesnt mean the judges are biased towards china.

Well as the judging panel is made from foreign judges its hard to prove that they are biased to Chinese athletes.

As to proving how old the gymnastics girl is you can't unless your in the know.
