Unicredit Ladies German Open: Chrisje De Vries makes hole in one in practice round
Chrisje De Vries stunned the spectators in the practice round of the UniCredit Ladies German Open on Tuesday, as she shot a hole-in-one.
Chrisje, who is gearing up to participate in the prestigious event from May 24 to 27, at Golfpark Gut Hausern, played a superb game and made the 171-yard 15th hole look much easier
than it actually was.
Commentators said that the professional star would have walked away with a €158,000 Audi R8 5.2, if she had made the shot during the tournament.
Speaking to the media at the end of the practice round, Chrisje said that she regrets missing a chance to make the hole-in-one in the tournament, as these things happen rarely.
“Just hit a hole in one on the 'Audi-r8-hole', if only I hadn't done it in the practice round!,” she shared.
“Then I slammed my 5 iron straight into the hole...what are the chances this will happen again tomorrow..?”
The rising star added that she is a little skeptical whether she will be able to perform the same  in the tournament or not.
Chrisje belongs to Netherlands and has shown in recent weeks that she is fit to confront big names in Germany this week.  Given her performance in the practice round, it is easy to predict
that the Dutch is capable of giving a tough time to her rivals.
The field for the €350,000 event is solid, featuring most of the prominent LET (Ladies European Tour) players.

Some of the players confirmed for the roster include the defending champion Diana Luna, Laura Davies of England, Trish Johnson, Carly Booth, who won the 2012 Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies
Scottish Open.
Analysts said that the event is expected to stage a tough battle, as four of the previous winners will be eyeing the title this week.
Davies, who appears to be in a solid form, won the 2010 edition of the tournament.

The English star has shown that she can prove to be a tough contender in difficult situations.
Moreover, Jade Schaeffer of France and Amy Yang of South Korea, who won the tournament in 2009 and 2008, respectively, are also in the roster.
