  1. a lot different...for long distances a bike is so much more comfortable but on the other hand it is so fun riding a unicycle around, especially with all the looks you get!  maybe this is just me but i feel like i have to focus more when i'm on a unicycle because i usually feel like i'm close to falling, i have to keep myself balanced all the time where on a bike you can just kind of relax and coast or whatever.  You do have to put up with all those annoying questions when you unicycle though..."hey, where's your other wheel?" and "how do you do that?"

  2. It's just like riding "no-hands".

The biggest difference is that you need to learn the front /back pedaling pressure.  This balance of pedal pressure keeps you in the up-most position.  You can learn this quickly by sitting on the unicycle in a hallway, use the walls for left/right balance, while you dial in the f/b pedal pressure.  After a while of this begin to let go of the walls  little by little.

As you improve it becomes more like riding a regular bike.

  3. well, it's slower. But i personally think it is way more fun top hop on my unicycle than my bike
