Uninstalling and installing iTunes?

my iTunes store hasn't been able to connect for the past week and im really frustrated cuz i just got a new classic iPod and i want to download everything and finish before school starts in a few weeks.

i've tried everything to get my iTunes store to connect, ive tried everything that apple says to do in their troubleshooting section and it still can't work. all of my other internet things work - limewire, internet explorer, safari and even AIM.

ive updated my iTunes to the latest version and it doesnt work.

someone suggested that i uninstall and install iTunes on my computer? will that fix the connection problem. if i uninsaill and resinstall, will all my songs be deleted? have you tried this before? does it work? helppppppppppppp!!!!!!!

No, your songs will not be deleted because they are stored in a separate folder. You can uninstall and install iTunes without anything happening to your songs. All you need to do after uninstalling is take all of the songs from the folder and put them back into the itunes library once it's installed again.

yea your music will not be lost but first you must make sure it is stored in a folder and i haven't tried it before but it should work.
