I wear glasses and want to know they still hire people without 20/20 vision.

I am not color blind

  1. Just don't be color blind.  If your vision is correctable - then there ought to be no problem.


  2. Yes, of course they do. Wearing glasses will not stop you from being hired. Other things will i.e. drugs, etc. So, don't worry about your vision.

  3. Yes.  If vision is correctable via the use of eyeglasses or contacts where visual acuity allows you to pass the exam, you're good to go.  It's been a while, but I don't think "20-20" is the standard.

  4. When I hired out (during the late Jurrasaic era) it was difficult to hire on if you wore glasses.

    Since then common sense has prevailed, and as long as you are correctable, eyesight is not an issue.

    I can tell you the color blindness test is difficult, but if you test good then dont let your eyesight be a concern.
