Or is your production of juniors really that poor that you have to offer the Leagues youngstars vast amounts of money that they find hard to refuse?

Maybe thats why England are so poor, because they are full of old has beens.

Thats now 4 league youngsters in 1 year.

Myler

Pryce

Walker

  1. What goes around comes around!

The tables have turned, many union players where nicked by league a few decades ago!

Money talks at the end of the day!

££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££... signs speak a thousand words my friend!

  2. We do produce many of our own, we can't help it if they want to play the better version.

And just for the record there are wage caps for the whole team salary (less than half a years worth of a premiership footballer's total wage.)

Also, our version of the game is more controled and is less rigid with play switching between teams, with rucking and mauling.

    Northampton forever.

  3. It's desperation. England's rugby union club game is dominated by foreigners and the clubs are far more interested in buying players who have already proved themselves than to develop their own. Now that they're getting bad press for not having enough English players, they're buying league players, despite the fact that they've never played union and aren't always suited to the more tactical game. England have the most players of all the rugby playing nations and the most money but their clubs are going for quick solutions rather than looking at the long term.

  4. I love it..

League is a disgraceful waste of talent.

  5. I think that its lame that loads of league players are going to union because league is so much more interessing. but i suppose that many of they change because of the money and union isnt as rough as league.

  6. How times have changed, its not that long ago that rugby league where taking a lot of union players or are you to young to know this.Just a few players come to mind Jonathan Davies,Clive Griffith's,Craig Quinnel,Offia,Mills,Terry Price,Tom David,John Devarue,John Bevan just a few i could go on and on.Its no different now than it was then players go for the most money and who can blame them

  7. I have to admit it is easer to let soeone else train them and then wait for them to realize how much league sucks and then come over to union.

All we have to teach them is how to kick the ball and get the crowd to clap.......

  8. It is a damned disgrace

  9. I'm a hardened League fan...none of that kick 'n' clap for me, but none of the four players above did anything for me.

As a Bradford Fan, I sat through hours of lacklustre performances by Karl Pryce. He was exactly the same as his older brother. If he put as much effort into his Rugby as he did with feigning injury when the going got tough he'd have set the world alight. Walker was a gobby little man, he would still be in League if it weren't for his statement that he wouldn't ever sign for Leeds again. Nobody else wanted him because he was nothing.

In my opinion, League's so called "Big Brother" can have them. Leave the places in our League teams to the classy, skillfull, talented players.
