As a Victorian sports fan, who cares relatively little for either code, I prefer Rugby Union because of the increased freedom, speed and toughness. I am certainly not saying that Rugby Union players are "tougher" than League, but the game of Union is far tougher. Perhaps I prefer Union because it is more free-flowing like my favourite sport, Australian Football.
