Unions the necessary evil?

I have worked on so many jobs IN WA now that have been unionized, i keep getting no value for money from the union im a boilermaker who can do pipe fitting a specialized part of the trade that not many can do, but i never get 1 cent more for this extra skill because of the deal the AMWU keeps making on every construction job with the companies the next time it happen im going to join CMFEU at least Kev looks he gives a stuff. AMWU surely doesent

There was a warning that people did not get involved when others were persecuted since it did not apply to them.  People kept doing this until they themselves were persecuted,BUT there was no-one to help them since there was nobody and they did not want to get involved.

If the Union does not clean it corruption from the top down,they will become extinct since their world wide efforts are not faring as well as they are claiming.

The least favorite Unions to all others are the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers(IBEW).

Yes and I suggest no using "necessary evil" since it may be interpreted as bad.  The Union was created in the USA and there are novels written by famous Americans that exposed horrible working conditions, pay, wages.  

Child Labor was made illegal.  

It is a little harder for wrongful termination but there are ways.

The Unions became unaware that union members began to get lazy and since firing them was almost impossible their opponents began to use this to bust unions so Anti-Union people and companies took advantage of Union complacency and had theses laws that are now doctrines; At-Will Employment and the Right to Work(this is not pro-union).  

Another way to decimate a Union is chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Outsourcing/Offshoring is another if possible and the next field for this will be IT(Information Technologist) of all kinds along with electronics technicians and above.  Some American airlines are flying their planes to other countries were their Aviation Electronics(Avionics) repairs are cheaper.

Yes, because corporation are still very greedy and will take advantage of the people who work for them, example Walmart locking their employee in and not letting them go home, forcing them to overtime without pay, no health insurance, no due process for employee if they are fired, I worked for companies with union and non union and I will tell you that without a union you can be fired for any trump up charges and who is going to come to your aid the company HR department, wrong answer, it's like the fox watching the chicken house,  yes we still need union to fight for our rights, do you think the company is going to do the right thing on your behalf, another wrong answer so go UAW, IAM, Teamsters, SEIU, Longshoremen union (ILWU), CNA, OCAW and all the other unions around
