  1. Why don't you do something simple, such as writing the proposal in the sand, taking her out for a walk, and having her see it? Or, you could pay a fisherman to reel up a sign or something that says "Will you marry me?" on it or something. You could also have your bro ask the pilot or flight attendant on the flight down to say it over the intercom or something. Good luck, the possibilities are endless!

  2. I'd like to know more about the girl- is she adventurous, romantic, does she like to eat special foods or go special places?

The best thing I think is a romantic gourmet picnic. He could do the old ring in the champagne glass- make sure she doesn't choke on it- or get down on one knee and make the speech.

He could take her up on a cliff overlooking the beach on which he wrote "Marry Me, so and so" or go bungee jumping or sky diving, or a helicopter ride over that beach. Or have a sky writer do it.

He could drive up to the hotel in a limo like in Pretty Woman

He could propose somewhere very crowded, like at a night club and ask to borrow the DJ's microphone.

Depends on her- hope these suggestions work.

  3. Take her on a treasure hunt! Probably just the two of them though, like go all over the beach finding clues that lead you to a certain spot.Have that spot set up to where there's "buried treasure", put the ring in a vintagy looking box and bury it like a foot below the sand *but have something else in there so it doesn't look empty, like a velvet rag or something* and also have like a picnic area set up directly next to it, food, and everything in a basket.

Also, make sure to have an "X" over where the box is, lol.

  4. Agree that the possibilities are endless! Of course written in the sand is amazing.

    Picnic at sunrise/sunset

proposal with wine on a boat

    while parasailing

have a plane with a banner fly by

  5. He could get one of you to draw a big heart in the sand, and walk her to it. You could even put their initials inside.

A romantic beach picnic on an isolated beach? Hotels can provide the picnic baskets and food. Pricey, but nice.

What about having a couple dozen roses in her hotel room with a bottle of champagne ready when you arrive? He could tell her he's taking her to a romantic dinner, and could propose the first evening.

Are there carriage rides where you're going to be? Have the hotel arrange a carriage ride, and get them to tell you a good place to stop for a proposal, then bring the couple back to the hotel. It might cost extra for the stop and for the driver to wait, but it would be worth it.

A limo and driver to take them on a sightseeing tour. They could stop for a view of the city and he could propose.

  6. They can go make a fire on the beach around sunset, and then right during the sunset have a guy come up (like a waiter, or something) with a tray, have the ring on it covered by a cloth...then he can propose!!!!

Or, he can set something up with a scuba instructer to put the ring and box amongst some beautiful coral.  And then when they go scuba diving with the class, the instructer can  take them both to where it is at, and then he can propose to her!

My fiance proposed to me on the beach during a sunset, except with no waiter. Instead he just walked with me down by the water and told me how wonderful the past years had been, and how wonderful he thinks I am, then he kneeled down and proposed after everyone walked by, so that we would be alone.

  7. oh when you fly down have him do it over the intercom.

that would be soo cute!! :) just like the wedding singer.hehe!

  8. if you're being adventurous, why not have a "message in a bottle" and go scubba diving.  have one of the guides tie it or "sink" it before she gets in, and have you guys "find" that?  I mean that would be interesting.  Go to an antique store and find a neat old bottle, cork, and wax seal it with your proposal to her.

    Just an unique idea perhaps.

  9. my ideal proposal is going on a horse back ride along the ocean at sunset and seeing "will you marry me?" written in the sand.

i think she will be completely surprised
