I'm just looking for some ideas on what I'm going to get my bridesmaids for a gift. I know there is jewelry or something with their names on it, but i was kinda hoping some one could give me some unique suggestions!

  2. You can put a great picture of the two of you (preferably when you are younger, so you can recollect all your memories from that time) into a gorgeous picture frame with an engraving. Jewelry is a popular one, I found this awesome website that does pearl necklaces (silver chain, one large pearl hanging down) for like $20. Also (this is just an idea), what I am doing is getting all my BMs some of the same stuff, but one thing will be personal to the BM (one travels a lot so she will get a monogrammed passport cover, one is a writer so I got her a beautiful journal, you get the idea). That way, it shows that you really know each of your friends well and they will all feel very special and appreciated.

    Good luck!

  3. I got a super-plush spa robe with my initial on it for the last wedding I was in, as well as homemade hairpins (the bride is a jeweler) and a little poem that told us the bride was paying for our hairdos. That was awesome because we all wore our robes the morning of the wedding and it is something I will wear a LOT.

I am thinking of getting my BMs silk/cashmere cardigans, they will have them in case the wedding day is cooler and they will definitely wear them again!

    Good luck!

  4. You may hate this idea.  I just went to this site www.mydavinci.com.  And you can send in pictures of your friends (or you with your maid) and get them to turn it into artwork.  The caricatures are relatively inexpensive and I love it!  I just ordered one last week so I'll let you know what I think of it when it gets here.  I've always love caricatures though.

I love theme ideas.  My cousin did her wedding at Christmas time and her theme was her Dept 56 houses.  She found a little box shaped like those houses and put our gifts in those.  A destination wedding I went to gave the bridesmaids beach totes with initials, sunglasses, sunscreen, beach towel and sun visor.

I had a June wedding so just as a rehearsal dinner gift I gave them all water bottles in different colors that suited them.  They were going to have a busy day the next day and I wanted them all to stay hydrated.

I think a great idea is OPI nail polish.  You can get some really cute names that symbolize your wedding.  From Matching Luggage, Princess Rules, or Don't be Koi with me.  The names of OPI are what make it so great.

Though remember they don't have to all get the same thing.  I think it would be awesome to get them all the jewelry and then all something unique to them.  Like a book if they are an avid reader (like me).  A favorite brand of chocolate.  An awesome bag of coffee with a new mug for the avid coffee drinker.  If one girl is obsessed with her dog, get her something for that pampered pooch or stop in REI for the outdoorsy camper.

The important thing is just to stick within your budget.  After all, you are grateful your friends were so helpful but a thank you card can go a long way.

  5. My future sister-in-law is giving her bridesmaids Frameagrams from http://www.frameagram.com personalized with a wedding theme. I think this is very cute and original.  Good luck!

  6. well that depends on your theme and location.

    if possible, make them something.

  7. how about a new purse each, each in the style of the girl, and fill it with little things like makeup, mints, and other little items.

  8. I know for my sister's wedding this weekend they are getting a coach clutch purse, a VERY nice pocket mirror, and the earings and necklace to go with what they are wearing for the ceremony.

  9. You could do lockets that have an inscription on them - and a thank you on the inside.

  10. I think the best giftys for the wedding party are related to your wedding (kind of) but also something they can use on other days than your wedding day. It should be something for them to enjoy for themselves as a thank you.

My fiance is giving his groomsmen travel toiletry bags with their initial on them because we're having a destination wedding where people have to travel, and he knows none of them have a nice travel bag.

I'm still torn on my bridesmaids gifts. I was seriously considering getting them each a spa gift certificate, but those are pretty pricey, and our budget only allows for not more then $50 each. There are these beautiful hand glass-blown pens I found at a store near us, and I thought those would be cool.

Not sure if that helps at all because I'm still trying to decide for myself, but I love my fiance's travel bag idea. I would have done with that if my bridesmaids didn't already all have nice ones.

  11. Here is a great site for just that  http://www.aweddingfavorite.com  They have totally unique & fresh ideas.  Not the same ol' same ol'.

  12. Don't know how "unique" it is but we gave our bridal party nice sunglasses (my husband is an optician) and everyone loved them! They are a practical gift but a fun one too.
