Unique scrapbooking supplies ideas!!?

Okay so I am making a scrapbook for my boyfriend of 15 months to give to him for his birthday. I will be starting college this semester and will be Very busy, so I think it will be something nice for him to have if we have to cut bac on the time we are spending together.

I ws just wondering if you had any ideaas on scrapbooking supplies/decorations that aren't exactly found in the scrapbooking area. Since gas is so outrageous, I am only plannning on going to WalMart, it is the closest big store around without me driving an extra 30miles.

I already figured I woul find a good type of material for a custom cover...

There is a ga station down the road from me where I will steal a french fry box and empty out a package of ketchup to use on one page (we met becuase I kept stealing his french fries at lunch...)

But we are both In bands and play guitar and drums, so on one page I carved the top of a few pink and red guitar picks so that they now look like hearts...And I plan on b

  1. Use old birthday cards if you have any and cut out the images

    Gift wrap is a good thing to use sometimes too


  2. Just use personlaised throw-away items like recipts and suchlike.

  3. hardware dept..nuts, washers, twisty ties, camping dept. maps, first aid kit items housewares dept... hair tie backs, bobby pins, small comb, hair dying instructions from the inside of hair coloring kits, school supply dept: flash cards, coloring book pages, crayon wrappers from his favorite color of crayons, old maid cards or other odd pieces of old board games, flea market finds, old posters, post cards, used stamps, letters, old black and white photos of interesting people, hand full of different business cards, parts of old Christmas and greeting cards, pieces of wild colored, textured yarns and ribbons, weird string, paint sample swatches from the paint department, old dog vaccination tags, weird articles from national inquirer magazine and other rag tags (you can copy them onto acid free paper first),clip art pictures of his favorite foods (french fries) enlarged pictures of one eye, baby toes, monkey feet, etc.. etc.etc.etc....
