I'm going to Texas from Ohio and im flying with U.S Airways to texas i have a luggage set with a regular size suitcase and a smaller one that is considerd a carry on size. Im going to bring my purse with me. I need to know if ill have to pay for my smaller suitcase and how much will i have to pay. Last time i flew, the smaller suitcase was a carry on but i didnt actually carry it on the plane, it was put with the other suitcase but was technically met carry-on requirements. Does anyone know how much i would have to pay for both airlines and if ill have to pay againg going home??

  1. For United Airlines and U.S. Airways you can check below information......

    Carry-on Allowance:Size requirements:

    • US Airways: Up to 51 inches/129 cm (11x14x26 inches or 28x35x66 cm).

    • US Airways Express: Up to 45 inches/114 cm (19x15x11 inches or 48x38x28 cm)."

Checked Baggage Allowance :A second checked bag will be assessed a $25 fee. The new fee applies to travel on or after May 5 for tickets purchased on or after February 26, 2008.

    Excess Baggage Rules:

If your baggage exceeds US Airways' permissible limit of free baggage allowance, you're required to pay an additional fee based on quantity, weight and size. For bags weighing 51-70 lbs, you'll be charged an additional amount of $50. For bags between 71- 100 lbs, the fee is $80. There is a fee of $80 for every bag between 63-80 inches. Bags weighing over 100 lbs and 80 inches are not accepted. Also, you're required to pay an amount of $80 for each additional bag.

    Good luck!!
