I was wondering. Since mostly everything we purchase is now made in China, why do we owe them so much?

Not everything is made in China. Most of the cars we drive are made in Japan? Why do we owe them the most?

  1. because our country has been living beyond it's means ever since the second world war.

1.) we are policing the world, fighting wars we can't afford, and nation building

2.) continuously expanding our government which costs more and more tax dollars.

china technically owns more than half our country right now.  that's how bad we are in debt.  if you want to pay off our debt, that means we need to seriously cut back on spending and start paying it off.

i wonder when washington will finally realize this.  so far ron paul was the only real candidate i saw that understood our current situation but the vast majority of people never listened to him.

  2. The answer is very simple.  Pork spending.

In your household....if you were broke and on a fixed budget, would you borrow money to go out to the movies and dinner?

Of course not.  But Congress does it all the time.  And if Obama gets elected you can certainly bet things will get much worse!
