Question:

United States Divided?

Should the U.S. become divided into smaller nations? This would help to manage the nation more productively by focusing on schools, healthcare and unnecessary laws such as the vehicle code under bikes- (very stupid for those of you that read this section). Also since people's opinions all range from the extreme left to the extreme right and in between each nation would be built based on its residents beliefs- giving power back to the people rather than having our voices toned out by law makers (congress). Since the nations would be smaller, congress would feel the pressure of the people to represent them, rather than making their own judgements. This multiple nation system would liberate us from the hold that corporate america has on us. Contributions wouldnt be as effective since there would be many independent nations. Do you think it would truly benefit the people? Improvement over Greed is the model to follow under this system for those of you who would refuse for that purpose. ??

  1. I'd be perfectly satisfied with getting rid of a few blue states.

  2. I'm not for civil war.

  3. ehhh. U know the expression the bigger they are the harder they fall, right. Well the US is just beginning to topple. I think the US would be better if we became like the european union. Very close 2gether, but have our differences

  4. The previous poster is arrogant as well as ignorant.  I will answer your question because I think it is relevant.  It is not based on so-called Blue States or Red States (a creation of the government, corporate-controlled media).  Anyone who refers to Blue or Red States has already fallen to government and corporate propaganda.

I will answer your question because it has relevancy.  I agree with your premise that the US could be divided into smaller nations because of regional similarities.  For example, the states on the west coast have more in common than say California has with New York, or Oregon has with Massachusetts.

I disagree with your premise that you could make a nation out of people who who only one political belief, or one religious belief, etc.  This may have worked in Europe, and in parts of Africa and Asia for a time.  The global economy has become so intertwined with local economies and with individual consumers that to ignore it or ban imports and exports would lead to lower standards of living lower than we now have.

I think a more plausible solution would be to elect people who are neither Republican, conservative, neoconservative, Democrat, liberal, neoliberal, or progressive to political office because they have created the problems with the policies going back to the Civil War.

You say 'improvement over greed' is the model to follow.  If one person trys to improve themselves by getting a job that pays more than other peoples jobs, couldn't that be considered 'greed' under your system?

  5. The liberal states need to secede and form their own corrupt confederacy.

Totally depraved states like CA and MA that have brought about g*y marriage should be sawed off of the continent and floated out into the ocean.

  6. The South would become a developing nation, California would be rich. The east coast would become an extension of Israel-Nah, let's keep it together. The center would have a bunch of militias fighting each other.
