United States Youth Volleyball League to start summer volleyball program
With the summer knocking at our doors, many of us are finding ways to keep ourselves as well as the kids busy. The United States Youth Volleyball League has come up with a program that aims to occupy kids for a period of eight weeks in the pursuit of improving
their volleyball skills.
The program will be covering the basic rules of volleyball and giving children a practical feel of what it’s like to play the sport. After the children get to know the basic rules, they will be taught the central techniques of playing the game. These lessons
will focus on different methods to serve and provide an opportunity for children to practice different serving styles.
Other then teaching the kids different serving techniques, ways to effectively pass the ball will also be taught. Two other essential volleyball techniques are also going to be a part of the League. These are setting and spiking. During the program, the
children will be given ample opportunity to learn and improve upon these basic volleyball skills.
USYVL has been working diligently to make volleyball reach the grass root level and make it popular at the beginner level. Providing volleyball to people in such a way increases awareness about the sport and helps kids to create a bond with the sport. Apart
from that, the children get an opportunity to spend their free time in the summers by doing something productive that adds to their mental health as well.
USYVL aims to give the kids this opportunity by providing them with an environment in which they are able to have fun. An entertaining atmosphere will enable the kids to be more conducive to the skills training that will be given through the League.
In a broader sense, USYVL is a platform through which a community gets together and is able to bond with each other as the league also has openings for volunteer workers. Volunteers can opt to be a part of the program by acting as coaches, instructors as
well as coordinators.
The USYVL is still carrying out registrations that can done online and through their office as well.
