United States?

Okay, this economy sucks. Gas prices suck. Yes we need to do something about it. I say we should drill offshore and use all the oil supply we have in the US. And yes I know it will take until 2018 (which was proven incorrect) to actually get oil. Why would we stop using oil? Stop using something that worked so well? If I was a business owner and we became a very wealthy and succesful business why would I change what I was doing? There's no such thing as global warming. And come one people, if we can land a man on the moon we can do anything! I'm 99.9999% sure we have the technology to create a 65mpg+ engine.

  1. Well what the h**l you do if the Oil on Earth depleted to 0%? and completely ignored alternatives until the last minute?

  2. we could have drilled 10 years ago but the democratic party is owned by the ecology kooks.

  3. Wait, did you really just write, "There's no such thing as global warming"?? Hmm, I bet you read Ann Coulter every night before you go to bed too.

Yeah, continue ruining our environment with carbon won't do anything to it at all, in fact, I think trees and vegetation actually thrive in smog and pollution!

  4. Cars in Europe already get between 50-60mpg in town.

  5. The economy only sucks because we expect it to. The media tells us that we are going into a recession and what happen's..... we stop spending out money because we think the economy is going bad....in turn the economy goes bad because we aren't spending anything....

Gas prices go up, because we expect them too. And they know that we will pay for it. We may gripe and complain, but we are still going to fill our tanks.

We are not in a energy crisis....and we wont be for a while, there is still enough oil in Alaska alone to provide us with energy and fuel for 100 years......

I agree, why DON"T we freaking drill offshore? I 'll tell you why, because God forbid your prescious coastline be cluttered with oil rigs, and you lose your tourist!!!!

Yes, the karabo and polar bears are important, but I think energy is more important.

Global Warming does exsist, but there is nothing we can do to stop it. It is the earths natural process, and it isn't as bad as Al Gore makes it out to be....

We have the capability now to make fuel efficent cars, but why do it, if you know that people are going to pay for gas now matter what the price or what the  mpg's are.

If people were really as worried as they claim to be, every one would be driving economy cars, not SVU's and Pick-up trucks.....

We need to stop blaming the government and start looking at ourselves, because we are allowing it to happen!!!

  6. Your right but there will be no 65 mpg + engine until big brother gets control of the money making end of it.... There oil price gouging enterprise is not over yet.  Why would they make it easier for you when your willing to live like you are? Cheaper for them to maintain status quo....They won't even fix the electric grid system nationwide...

  7. I love the little "There's no such thing as global warming" thrown in there.  Quick update:  Yes, there is, chief.

We certainly do have the technology to create such an engine, and we did.  It's called a Honda Insight.  The trick is doing what they did and then getting people to buy them.

What's impossible about that is that there are too many people that are unwilling to give up the convenience of driving a tank around town to save gas.  They've convinced themselves that they need 9 seats and a 47 foot car so their dog can go to the store with them.

We have a very very very self-centered country, and that's why we are where we are.

  8. I long for the days that oil companies had to bribe for such a thing... What a shame... :(
