The Old Trafford chief reiterated that the unspectacular start in the share market and the crushing debts, have not affected the team’s ability on the pitch.
Manchester United were acquired by the Glazer Family in 2005 and since then have been saddled with debt, leaving the fans to protest and start their own club as a result of the sale.
Many have called for the Americans to leave the Premier League giants, as their methods and frugal spending is threatening to bring down years of history. United lost out to City in England’s top flight and most have blamed it on a lack of new signings,
which Sir Alex Ferguson hasn’t been able to make due to a lack of funds.
The Glazers had proposed a new idea to help the club rise out of their enormous debts, choosing to sell 10% of the shares in a bid to raise capital. However they have decided to pocket 50% of the total amount, leaving supporters to criticize them once more.
However Chief Executive http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Gill claims that the club’s success in the market and the field is apparent and does not rely on the debts.
“The level of debt we’ve had at the club since they’ve taken over hasn’t impacted what we’ve done as a team. We’ve won four Premier Leagues, we’ve been to the Champions League final three times, and we’ve had ongoing success on the pitch."
"We’re comfortable with the leverage we’ve had and believe, given the growth opportunity we’ve got ahead of us — for example we’ve signed Chevrolet to a seven-year shirt sponsorship commencing in 2014, over twice what our current shirt sponsors make — we’ve
got a lot of  good opportunities," he said.
Manchester United have been pretty successful in the last couple of years, without spending outrageous amounts of cash in the transfer market. Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson’s model of success has utilized young players to their maximum potential and has earned the team
trophy after trophy in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and Europe.
Now the tactician faces a tough task in replicating his feats, especially with the rise of the Blue Moon at the Etihad.
