The Red Devils are allegedly near to sealing the deal for the Championship star, while Ashley Young is set to miss the UEFA Champions League clash with Real Madrid after a knee injury.
Manchester United’s long running pursuit of Wilfried Zaha could be coming to a short close, with the media revealing that the 19-time English champions have secured the player’s services.
Although http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 were interested in acquiring the talented winger, United seem to have beaten the Gunners to his signature and churning out nearly £10million up front, which is the biggest down payment ever for a player attached to a Championship side.
A total package worth £15m has been arranged for, but the remaining figures will be balanced on various add-ons and appearances. Palace have always reiterated that they want Zaha to stay till the end of the summer and not only have they managed to do that,
but a 10 per cent sell-on fee has also been agreed.
The player will be picking up around £35,000 a week, but that figure could rise exponentially depending on how he performs at Old Trafford in the next couple of years.
Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson will be delighted to get one over Arsene Wenger after scooping the highly rated teenager, although Zaha will not be available for immediate service as part of his agreed contract.
Wenger, who was keen on the attacker, has now revealed there was no contact between him and Crystal Palace, although the media have droned on about a possible link in the back pages.
“I don’t know if he will go to Man United. If he goes to Man United, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Good-Luck-c39444 to him. I don’t know if Manchester United is as well in for him. Anyway, if you call any club for any player, they will tell you Man Utd, Milan, Real Madrid are as well in for
him, but it is always difficult to know if it is true or not,” he said.
“I like him as a player. Would he cost a lot of money? That’s for sure, nobody would deny that,” the Frenchman was quoted as saying.
