The English Premier League champions could sign the Dutch star for less than expected after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan’s reported decision to sell him this summer.
As the summer transfer window opens, the media speculation cranks up. From unknown footballers linked with dream moves to top clubs, to world-class talents eyeing switches to other teams, from June onwards there is aplenty news for everyone.
Last year’s most dramatic transfer saga was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394 replacement.
With the Englishman gone from their ranks, the Red Devils turned to the former Real Madrid man to supply them with creativity and skill in the centre of the park and for a long time it was thought that the deal would go through.
However the player’s wage demands proved to a major stumbling block in the negotiations as Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson was unable to reach an accord with him about his weekly numeration.
It was rumoured that Sneijder wanted  more than his current £250,000-a-week salary in Manchester due to England’s tax laws, but the Reds refused him such mega bucks.
With that the reports died down for the better part of a year, only to rise up from the ashes, after it was revealed that the Netherlands’ International will be let go by the Italian giants in the next few months.
According to media speculation, Zenit St. Petersburg are supposedly interested in the player’s services as well and could move in with an offer this summer, but Dutch midfielder prefers a switch to the Premier League.
Although it looks like a perfect match for both the club and Sneijder, his arrival at the Theatre of Dreams, would not be typical Ferguson signing in terms of re-sale value and age.
Furthermore, the club have been linked with some of the best young talent in Europe in the past few months, and with the likes of Mario Goetze, Javi http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eden-Hazard-c11863 available for less than Sneijder’s evaluation, there seems to be no outstanding
reason why the Scot should move in for the 27-year-old.
However with surprise being an important element in world football, there could still be an unexpected signing in the near future.
