  1. Nothing like correct if you are trying to write a postal address.

You start with the house name or number.  If it is a number you follow it with the street name.  If it is a house name, you put the street name on the next line.  Next follows the village or district if there is one on the next line.  Then the post town (Hillingdon is actually a district of Uxbridge) on the next line then the postal county (Hillingdon is in Middlesex, which is still a postal county even though it was swallowed up by London in 1965) on the next line.  Then the post code on the next line.  A typical one: the Civic Centre in Hillingdon is UB8 1UW. Then the country - United Kingdom or UK for short in capitals on the last line.

I have no idea what 7480 s 9900 e mean.  Any clues?  These seem to be an Ordnance Survey reference at a guess.

  2. doest look like it...

business addresses may vary but typically:

    Name

    House number/Name + Road Name

    Village (if applicable)

    Town

    County

    Post code

    Country (if outside the UK)

    e.g.

    Mr John Smith

    28 Finchley Road

    Hutton

    Brentwood

    Essex

    Cm5 7PT

    UK
