  1. I cannot say for certain but I do not think it will stop you.

I was in the Marines and they can give you waivers for almost anything.  9 years ago should be no problem.

  2. I bet they would love to get you into the Marine Corp. Haven't you heard that their is Wars going on in the Middle East, and the same poor troops including the Marines are the ones doing all the fighting.

Combat will ruin your life! Don't let them fool you!

  3. First I'd say its the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS second I totally disagree with zclifton2 who is obviously uninformed - we have an all volunteer force we don't draft people to go into the military and we have people from all walks of life. Personally speaking I served for 21 years and my parents were very well off.

Talk to the recruiter - normally juvi records are sealed. But if you are honest and forthcoming with the information it will look better for you and increase your odds.

Most of the time a felony is the #1 show stopper - honesty goes a long way - go see the recruiter - don't wait for someone here to talk to you. Face to face with the recruiter is your best bet, if you have your HS diploma and an idea of what you'd like to do in the Corps. it would help too.

Anyone here can tell you anything - go and talk to the recruiter.

  4. Only one thing will keep you out of the Corps now.  Not capitalizing the M in United States Marines.

    Good luck!

  5. My husband used to be in the Marines. He said the only thing that matters there is a felony. Good luck!
