Who has done this or are doing them...I think the sand is kinda of interesting - It would be nice to keep it on display.

What colors did you use?

  1. a friends wedding the candle caught her dress on fire, thank god the jp had a bottle of water!

sand can be nice if its a calm day but if you are nervous and shakey it wont come out great and can get spilled.

skip the extra ceremonial things and get a guest book frame with a wedding photo in the center and have everyone sign it and you can ahng it for display

  2. You can use almost any color you want. A suggestion may be the color of your wedding and white maybe. White can be your past, and the color of your wedding (which can be in the middle vase already) can signify your new life together. Good Luck, hope it helped =)

  3. go to Sandcandles.org

  4. I liked the sand ceremony as the candles have often not been able to be lit or they catch something on fire. Sand is nice and safe and can be quite pretty and a good memory if done in the colors of the wedding. Also, remember that if you are going to display it, you might want some kind of container that has a lid.

  5. I was planning on doing the unity sand... but then my hubby wanted the candle. So we did that and since the wedding was outside, the candles didn't light haha. Oh well. So we did it inside during the reception.

I was going to do my wedding colors... tiffany blue and white.

  6. I have seen this done and it was very nice. The wedding colors were bright pink and orange, and the couple poured in pink and brown sand and they also had white sand poured in the bottom to represent Christ's foundation. It looked really nice after it was done, and you're right - it will look very nice on display after the wedding. You could even get a personalized glass cylindar so that it is truly representative of your marriage.
