Universal RCA TV remote not working to change to AV/video option.?

i HAVE AN OLD ORION STV 2552 TV SET WHICH DOESN'T HAVE TV/AV BUTTON BUT IT HAS VIDEO INPUT. I HAVE TRIED TO USE MY UNIVERSAL REMOTE TO CHANGE TO AV SETTING FOR MY DVD BUT IT DOESN'T WORK. DO I HAVE TO BUY A NEW REMOTE OR THERE IS A WAY FOR IT TO WORK. THANKS

RCA remotes aren't the world's BEST universal remote....especially when your dealing with an OLD TV set and an OFF-BRAND like Orion....

You have two things working against you there.....

But the MOST UNIVERSAL remote I have found is the MID-PRICED  Zenith/LG universal remotes.....

They cost about $15.00.....and if they don't work, nothing will on your TV.
