Universal Remote .... How do I make it work ? For a TV / Video Combi ........ more?

Question

Loaned friend my daughters TV / Video Combi for a promotion and she has lost the remote. I bought new Universal one but it says I need a code. Please help.. They issued codes with the instructions but non seem compatible. Thanks in advance for any takers to this question

you have to look at the codes on the instruction and find the brand that matches your tv. Im sure it will work just try it again.

Each Universal remote control is different. If the code isn&#039;t in the booklet that came with it you&#039;ll have to use the search facility on the remote.

This is usually quite time-consuming.

Usually you have to press &quot;set&quot; and &quot;tv&quot; at the same time, this will make the light flash. Now you have to press the on/off button. If the tv turned off, press set again and you&#039;re good to go. If it didn&#039;t work,  wait a second and press on.off again. repeat

You might have to do this a couple of hundred times until it works, the remote goes through all the codes sequentially starting at 001...

Read the booklet section about manual settings carefully

Each one is different and each comes with codes in the pamphlet it came with.  If you don&#039;t have that, go to Best Buy and ask them how to do it or where to find the codes in the booklet.
