Universal SYnergy? scam?

Question

Ok so there is this ad saying 20$ for management trainee... you sell fire extinguishers which from my research seems like a good product (Nascar has it) anyways but I see some comments talking bad and some good about this company.. saying it is a scam. Has anyone ever heard of it? my husband went and was hired so here is some info:

Put $50 deposit for the product

have to be a salesperson and sell the product before you are promoted to manager

they train you but i think it is unpaid in management classes

once you become a manager they pay for your office and other expenses

they give you a $2000 sign on bonus but it is spread out in 3 months
