  1. First of all, Islands of adventure is  not in WDW, it is in Universal Studios in Orlando. It is a good park though. Second , if you want thrills, I put the parks in order

    1.Magic Kingdom

    2. Hollywood studios

    3.Animal Kingdom

    4. Epcot (although the Norway ride is coooooooooool!)

  2. DIsney is about 15-20 mins away from Universal

best way to get from Disney to Universal is a cab unless you rented a car

If you love thrill rides then Islands Of Adventure is the best place to go They have the most Roller Coasters. Also some good thrill rides at Universal Studios followed by Hollywood Studios.

  3. Disney is a whole seperate place then Universal. I would say go to universal studios and islands if you like thrill rides. THey have rides like the revenge of the mummy which is fast, dark and amazing and they have the rollar coasters Dueling dragons and the hulk which are also soo much fun. Disney is great but they are not as many thrill rides

  4. Universal is a short distance away, they are two seperate theme parks :)

Magical Kingdom is more for the kids but they have some good ones there, Epcot has some good ones but it's more about the atmosphere and drinking, animal kingdom has Expedition Everest which is one of the most thrilling, craziest roller coasters i've EVER ridden. Hollywood Studios is good too it has Rock N' Roller coaster wich features the musical talents of Aerosmith, Tower of terror and some other mild thrills.

Islands of Adventure is KNOWN for their roller coasters, the Hulk, Dueling Dragons, SpiderMan (which isn't a roller coaster but still rocks) and Universal offers you the mummy.

It all comes down personal preference, are you looking for a wam bam thank you ma'am (Universal) or do you like atmosphere and slow seduction (Disney)?

  5. Islands of Adventure is a bit of a drive from Disney World but not too far. It's located, if I remember, near International Drive.

And well, if you REALLY like thrill rides...

Islands of Adventure is a MUST!! I think it's a better park than ANY of the Disney parks---especially Disney's Hollywood Studios. The interesting thing about IOA is that because so many rides are so d**n good --- you don't realize that the park actually only has like 20 rides until late in the day. By that time, you just want to get back on them.

The roller coasters Hulk and Dragons are EXCELLENT. I am not a big fan of water rides, especially rapids rides but all of their water rides are a MUST --- Dudley Do-Right, Popeye and Bluto, and Jurassic Park. Even the rides for the younger folks are awesome like Cat in the Hat and One fish, Two fish, Red fish, Blue fish.

Oh, and I forgot about Spiderman.

I think IOA puts all the Disney parks to shame.

Also try to go to Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa. They also have some excellent steel coasters. Kumba, Montu, and Sheikra are just as good, if not better than Hulk.

But don't skip Disney altogether...there are some great rides at all the parks. You might want to get something like a 2 day park hopper and hit all 4 four parks in two days.

Hollywood Studios is only worth the trip for Rockin Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror. The rest of the park is c**p.

Animal Kingdom has Expedition Everest and a bunch of other attractions worth checking out, but definitely a half day park.

EPCOT has Test Track and Mission: Space but not much in big thrills, although it is a fascinating place.

And there's Magic Kingdom which IMHO, is a carbon copy of Disneyland.

  6. They are 2 seperate resorts that are about 15 mins apart.

Universal Orlando Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort.

Both are different and unique in their own ways.

  7. Islands of adventure are definatly more packed with cool roller coasters you should maybe consider busch gardens as well though. As they have tons.
