Universities in the dominican republic ?

Question

I was born in the dominican republic, but I moved to the U.S when I was 1. I'm trying to convince my mom to move back there but she's worried that if I go to university there it won't be valid here in the U.S.

so my question is, what universities in dominican republic have diplomas that are valid in the U.S ?

Something similar happened to me, I went to study Architecture in UNPHU and now I work at a big home builder in the US.  There are a few that are recognized here but you still have to go through a validation of Diploma in whatever organization you major in. Is simple more or less you come with a full report card semester by semester and you translate them so you can later forward it to the organization that rules your carrier (ex. Board of Medicine if you are doctor). Now depending on the major your interested in, here is a few that are worth mentioning:

UASD – Public University, this means is the cheapest therefore is more populated however this is one the best almost in all its majors. Excellent on Medicine, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration.

UNPHU – Private University, some what affordable and recognized in all Europe and the United States if you want to validate your diploma. Very good on Architecture, Medicine, Interior Designs, Engineering and Law school.

INTEC – Recently change from a technological institute to an University for its immense growth. This one is excellent if you are looking to finish a carrier in less time because its program doesn’t give you much vacations, it’s on going all year long. Is somewhat expensive but the quality of professionalism is worth it. Excellence in Literature, all types of Engineering, and Medicine.

PUCMM – This is a private, well establish university. They are good on Public Relations, Marketing, Literature and Architecture

Other to consider are Universidad del Caribe, APEC and UNIBE

The answer is none. Unless the university is accredited by a regional accreditation institution then your degree will have no value in the United States. Most universities in Puerto Rico, and some in Mexico and Venezuela are accredited, but to my knowledge no Dominican university has accreditation that will allow you to utilize your degree in the U.S. For that reason many Dominican students wanting U.S. degrees go to school in neighboring Puerto Rico or in Florida to obtain their degree.

Confirm with both but my cousin did a masters in Texas once he grad. from PUCMM

and I have friends who've studied medicine at UNIBE and gone back to USA and Canada to work.

I want to study in DR too!!! Well I know that Universidad Iberoamericana and Universidad Central del Este's medical schools are  accredited in the US and the rest of the world. So why dont u check their website and see if what you want to study is available there.
