  1. I've never heard of this one before; there are a lot of online and correspondence schools where you can get a diploma.

Did you take classes and pass tests, or did you just pay a fee and get a diploma?

If the place is on the level, you would do some work, take tests, and for certain they would have the term "accredited" somewhere on their paperwork.

If not, it's just an expensive piece of paper that might fool somebody, but really does you no good.

  2. It's technically valid, whether or not it will be recognized by another institution in the future is questionable.  Since there is no accreditation, universities may not recognize it as legitimate., and thus may not admit people with those degrees or may require you to obtain a GED prior to entrance.  However, since the article said some athletes have gotten by with this it must be recognized at some level, however, it is possible that in the future it may not be recognized.  It's pretty much no different than if your parents printed out a diploma saying "Home High School."

  3. Well, all I can tell you is I know a New York State brick school girl who thinks Denmark is a city and NYS gave her a diploma too!
