University dorm decor/design ideas?(pics)

Hi I'm Megan, I'm going to be a freshmen in college in a couple weeks. I love creativity and customizing my room. I'm excited to be in a different space and being able to decorate, the problem is that my school does not allow us to use nails, screws, staples, or tacks to hang things. We can only use double sided tape and adhesive clay or i suppose anything to that sort. Here's the layout of the dorm i will be living in

Go to Wall Mart and get some rubber stilts to raise you bed.  Now you will have enough room to store things under the bed.  Get rubber mate

containers and you can use them for anything and with the bed raised they will fit nicely.

M husband got some old wood and built our daughter a book case to put books in or anything else.  You will have o know where you will ut it and measure the area so the book case will fit well.  It is realy easy to build.  Four pices of lumber for the outside and depending on how many shelves you want maybe two or three.  Get some small pices of wood and s***w them to the inside corner of the outside pices of lumber.  s***w a couple of screws into them to attach them to the wood.  Do the same with the inside shelves.   You can either stain them or paint them.  Or it you can find some old wood already stained, just wash it with soap for wood let it dry and rub so furniture oil all over it.  Later you can just dust it with pledge.  

Go to Goodwill, or other places like that.  See if you can find some $2.00 novelty shirts.  You can put a pilow in them and use as throw pillows for you bed or You can put them on the wall using "tacky".  To use tacky, wash the wall where you will use it, let it dry.  Then pull a little tacky off and roll it into a ball and put it on the wall then mash the shirt where the tacky is.  Works like a charm to hang just about anything.  By using tacky you can hand posters either framed or unframed.  You will not have any holes in your wall.

Lights are good to decorate with.  Christmas lights the clear or colored, or novelty lights.

Get your theme color through throw rugs.  If you like orange crush or grape crush after you have drank the contents, wash the bottle out and use them to put flowers in.

Bean bag chairs are great.  Be sure to get the size that fits you.  Set down in them and see how much room is at the sides.  You don' want it to be too tight.  These can be used as an extra bed by putting two together, a foot stool, extra places to set and can be put out of the way easy by puting them under your raised bed or in the closit.

Be sure to take a trunk.  That will hide a multitude of what would be clutter.  You want to keep your room clutter free.

Get the lighest full lenght mirrow you can find so you can hang it with tacky.  You can hang the mirrow on the inside of the bath room door.
