University help, Unsuccessful application

I applied for a International business course, which required ABBBC, however i got a ABBCD.

I put all my hopes on uni, i know not a smart thing, but i really wanted to go a year earlier. It upset me more to know one of my relatives got in without trying in his exams and didn't meet his requirements either, but got in because he did some extra classes in the uni. I still have a year left at school, but i hope my appeal's will go through. I got a D in english but i got a B in my prelim , what will i get if i appeal? Also i could appeal for one of my B's to an A. I'm so upset i didn't get in, I'm not sure why, as i can go back to school. Can anyone give me constructive advice. I know the extra year will most likely be a waste of time. What are the chances i'll get into uni, after appeals and reconsideration.

  1. Apply to other universities.

Maybe you will still get a position. While there is time before September keep trying. Clearing opens 14 August. UCAS advertises vacancies on courses from 14 August 2008, get in early and find yourself a place.

Join Prospects and keep an eye on openings or places on courses.

  2. You can always try clearing?

Don't pin your hopes on one uni either, apply for as many as you are allowed to.
