  1. Universidad Catolica is around Pueblo Libre which is a district in Lima, you may want to go to san miguel which is very close like 15-20 mins away or go to Larcomar in Miraflores which has several clubs, movie theaters, etc

and if you are in the mood to have some wine (min age to drink is 18) or Pisco (national drink) and dance a lot you should go to barranco, it'll be fun with a group of friends.

    good luck!

  2. PUCP  isn't in the safest area, so be careful at night.  For fun, try Miraflores, or Barranco.  GO to a disco, much different then the club scene in the US.

  3. San miguel isn't the safest place, but not to worry- just make sure you don't overdress and u wont attract any unwanted attention.

Miraflores is a very nice area with cinemas and clubs and shops, which i am sure you will enjoy. San Isidro is a lovely area to visit, too.

You MUST try Pisco, traditinoal drink of Peru, which is to be had in small quantities (40% vol!) but is made with lime, sugar egg whites and alcohol.

There are many 'combis' (minibuses) which will take you to many places in lima, if you want to do some shopping, Jockey Plaza is very good. You will find that many things are much cheaper in Lima, so enjoy!

Plaza san miguel mall is situated there and some malls are situated between la marina and Universitaria (look on a map)

Parque Las Leyendas is there as well, its a zoo and is fun for a day out as well. It has some amazing animals found in the amazon etc!

    have fun!

  4. I live almost in front of the University Catolica,

actually is fun there a very nice town!.

although in the past year it turns a little unsafe.

Also Plaza San Miguel is like 10mnt front there

is a mall, Larcomar, Miraflores and Barranco too

you can find a lots of new friends;]

    good luck!

  5. The National Anthropological, Archaeological and Historical Museum and the Larco Archeaological Museum are nearby.  The Larco has a huge collection of erotic Moche pottery.

For fun, go to Barranco, but it's quite a way by bus.

I concur that it Pueblo Libre is not the safest area of Lima, so be careful.
